Vance Street DGC – Waynesville
The Waynesville Disc Golf Course (as it’s called by the locals), is an 18 Hole park style disc
golf course. The course is a classic “city-park” style disc golf course with the tee-pads and pins
positioned to maximize the limited trees available. The course maximizes the available elevation
on the park’s property, as well as the OB features (creek, walking path, road, parking lots,
train tracks, baseball field, running track, etc…), making otherwise ordinary holes extremely
challenging and fun to play. Two pin locations for each hole offer both variety in terms of shots
and distance, with the short positions totaling 5010’ and the long’s totaling 6692’.
Directions:
From Asheville take I-40 West to Exit 27. Follow 23/74 West to Exit 102. Take Exit 102 and
merge onto Russ Ave (276). Go under over-pass to 2nd light and take a Left on Howell Mill
Rd.(Eckerds on Corner). Go approx. 0.5 miles and take a Right on Vance Street. Go past
first entrance to Rec center...past softball field to lower parking lot on left. First tee is near
kiosk at the end of parking lot.
